These beautiful chess pieces are made from boxwood that are painted red and ivory and then finished in high gloss lacquer to give them a glass-like finish. Pieces have green billiard cloth pads for a soft feel on the chess board and are weighted for stability. Our Red and Erable Deluxe Chess Board is made for us by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain. The deep red color of the stained maple is gorgeous with the whitened erable and the wide black delimiter around the playing area enhances all three colors. The board is finished in high gloss polyurethane that gives the board a glass-like appearance. One of our most beautiful chess boards.
